I'm a friendly, knowledgeable guide who specializes in creating unforgettable fishing experiences for sports fishermen and families alike. Guiding you through the serene waters of the Pacific Northwest's rivers, I make sure every angler — at any skill level — has an exceptional day on the water.
Based in Josephine County, I run trips on five of Southern Oregon's finest rivers — the Chetco, Rogue, Umpqua, Elk, and Sixes — chasing hard-fighting salmon and chrome-bright steelhead. Whether we're drifting a quiet run or heading out for ocean kings at the mouth of the Chetco, the goal is always the same: tight lines, big smiles, and memories that last.

Trophy kings & wild winter steelhead
From the Siskiyou wilderness to Brookings, the Chetco is one of Oregon's longest undammed rivers — trophy fall Chinook, wild winter steelhead, and kings stacked off the river mouth.
Salmon & steelhead twelve months a year
A legendary wild-and-scenic river through Josephine County. Spring and fall Chinook, summer and winter steelhead, and canyon country that made it famous — almost always something biting.
Chrome winter steelhead water
In the heart of winter, the Umpqua comes alive with hard-fighting steelhead. We fish it through January and February, when the river's famous runs give anglers a shot at a chrome-bright trophy on cold, quiet water.
Gin-clear water & bright fall kings
One of the Oregon coast's premier fall Chinook fisheries, the Elk runs crystal-clear out of the Coast Range near Port Orford. Its bright, hard-charging kings and stunning scenery make it a favorite when the salmon push in.
Rugged coastal Chinook country
Just north of the Elk, the Sixes is a classic coastal salmon river winding through ranch country and forest. Fall Chinook move in with the rains, offering intimate drift-boat fishing well away from the crowds.

We had the best time catching fish!! It was just what my soul needed! If you are wanting to go on a guided fishing trip, Gabe's your guy.
Incredible day on the Rogue River chasing steelhead with Gabe. We dead-drifted through the canyon runs and I ended up landing three chrome-bright wild fish — two hens and a buck that pushed 14 pounds. Gabe read the water perfectly and put us right on them. Can't say enough good things.
